[0:00] Occasionally when you submit an application, some of the documents associated with that application may not meet the requirements of the first home exemption unit. In such cases, the first home exemption officer assigned to your application will return the document for corrections. When they return this document, they will explain exactly what is wrong with the document and what steps you take to rectify it.
[0:30] Until you resubmit this document with the corrections, your application will not progress any further through the process. Whenever this does happen, you will be assigned a task under the "My Task" pane on the left hand side of the home page. You will also receive an email prompting you to respond to the task. Within this email, you will have the "Finding Document" attached, as well as the comments that explain what exactly was wrong with the document.
[1:02] In this case, the copy that I uploaded was not clear enough and they were not able to read the passport number. To respond to this task, you can either click here within the email that you receive or on the home page under "My Task" you can click on the "Task" card. When you do so, the task form will be brought up, which will include the return document information, such as its name, its document type, and the case number it is associated with,
[1:34] as well as the comments explaining exactly what needs to be corrected. Under that, we have the corrected document submission. In order to submit a corrected document, you first correct the document and then you attach it by clicking Add Attachment and then Attach File. From here, navigate to your file, select it, and either double-click or select Open. From here, we can see that my file has been attached. If I mistakenly attach the wrong file, I can click the "X" and then reattach.
[2:16] Once you've attached the correct file, make sure that you select Complete. Also ensure that your file is a PDF, as this is the only file type that is accepted. Once you've insured both of those, click Submit, and then your document has been resummitted. On the internal side of the first home exemption, the first home officer receives an email letting them know that you've resummitted the document and then they review this resummitted document. If there are any further issues with it, they would return it to you and you would receive
[2:48] another task.
