[0:00] When we first arrive at the VAT and Stamp Duty submission form, it will seem like quite a short form. However, this is only because we've not selected our document type yet. Under the document type drop down, I can see that there are many different types. For example, I'm going to use boat slip. As soon as I've selected boat slip, we can see that the rest of the form has populated. It's now much longer. Here we have different fields that are required for this specific type of document. For example, I have notes where I can fill in information that might help the officer
[0:31] assign, review my application faster. Below that, we have things such as value amounts. Here we have the consideration value, the assessed value, and the appraised value. Note that an asterisk indicates that a field is required or else you will not be able to submit it. In here, I can input my number using simple numbers and a decimal to indicate the sense. If I want to fill out the optional field, I can, but I don't need to. Next is the boat slip location.
[1:02] Here I can just type in a mean. The same with the island I can select this from a drop down. Next, let's look at the transfer, transfer, information. This is specific to a boat slip. However, in other types of documents, you might instead see "applicate". Here, under transfer, we can identify, will it be an individual or a company? In both scenarios, we're going to see that the fields change depending on what we select. In addition to that, we also have a checkbox here that says "Is the transfer attorney
[1:34] information available?" If it is, we can check that box and here we'll be able to input all of the information and it has to do with the attorney. If I uncheck the box, that information goes away. If there's more than one transfer that I need to add, I can click the "Add another transfer" button and be able to select this individually for each one. And again, I can continue to choose individual or company for each one. Let's say that I've added too many and I need to remove some. Here, I can use the X in the top right hand corner and get rid of any of the rows that
[2:06] I did not use. Moving down in the form, I can then see that I have the transferee. Transferee is quite the same, however, it does require more information. For example, I can select individual and see those specific fields there or company. Note here, though, that for example, most of these fields are required. So for example, first name, last name, user ID type, passport, national insurance number, driver's license or government ID, the number of that item, the email address, a full phone
[2:37] number, a street address as well as a country. These are all required fields to be able to submit this. In addition, we have the add another transferee, so again, you can add as many as you require. There are only two things left on this particular form. First, the representative contact information where I need to make sure that the representative is correctly identified. This includes the full name, the email address and the organization. The item shown here are what are automatically associated to my account.
[3:07] Below that is the representative different than the submitter. If the representative is actually someone other than myself, I'll want to click this box and make sure I fill in their first name, last name, email, phone number and country, so it can be appropriately tracked. If it is not, you may leave this unclicked. Below that, we have document information. Each document type might require a specific type of information and you can attach as many different documents here as you'd like, as long as they are all in PDF format. To do that, I'll click add attachment, attach file, and then I will select whatever file
[3:42] that makes sense to request. Finally, I have two options left for me. I can either save this draft, meaning that I can come back to it later through the VAT stamp portal or I can submit it. Knowing that we have various things above that were not properly populated, we can expect that it will not be submitted. Let's click and see what happens. I submit. I get a pop-up in the very top that says your application is now being submitted. The screen will refresh and send you back to the VAT stamp portal. However, when I click OK, I can see that there are errors up above, however, more importantly,
[4:15] I can see that this message is still here that says, "After you click submit, you still see this message, please scroll back up to correct any issues." Let's see what that looks like. Here it will indicate to me every field that I have potentially missed that needs to be populated in order to be able to successfully submit this item. Once all of those things have been populated, I can then click submit and the item will be submitted and I will receive an email of my receipt.
